My views and beliefs

We live in a remarkable country—so remarkable in fact that people around the world risk everything for a chance to be part of it. While there is still much to do to ensure every UK citizen feels we are moving in the right direction, I remain optimistic about our future. 

To achieve that future, I believe in:

• Rights and responsibilities, freedom of speech, self-reliance and aspiration

• The vital role of enterprise, entrepreneurs, and innovation in driving sustainable national growth

• A government that is limited in scope, competent in delivery, and compassionate in its approach

• Well-managed immigration that strengthens our society and economy
